Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon Wrap Up

  1. Which hour was most daunting for you? I would say it was the evening hours that my family returned home and I had less focus.  Hours 11-14
  2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? I read two shorter books, I highly recommend YA books.
  3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? No, it was wonderful, keep it up!
  4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? Everything
  5. How many books did you read? 2 full books 447 pages, 3 hours in audio
  6. What were the names of the books you read? The Bear by Claire Cameron and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.
  7. Which book did you enjoy most? equally good
  8. Which did you enjoy least? n/a
  9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?n/a
  10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?  I'll be back!! This was my 3rd event and by far the best. I was still distracted by the desire to socialize with other readers on twitter, and it was good for breaking things up.  I loved the team spirit and cheering others on.  Thanks Andi and Heather and everyone else involved!
Sorry this is so weird looking....I copied the questions and now it's some odd formatting and I can't move it...ha ha.  I had a great day!!

  1. I would love to do a readathon some time, but kids, sports, family stuff always seems to come first. It's on my list of "someday" though. I loved reading all the tweets and such throughout the day. Glad you were able to enjoy and get some reading in!

  2. I'm impressed! I wasn't able to participate yet again this time around so I'm envious of everyone who did. A Monster Calls is an AMAZING book. It might be the perfect readathon book - short and powerful.

    Way to go!
