Sunday Meanderings

Good afternoon!
I love a slow Sunday, sleeping in, a leisurely  cup of coffee or two, chatting with my family.  Adrienne is now off to work, Nick has gone to work out, and I'm browsing blogs and email.

It's been a good week.  I finished two, and almost three books this week.  I love that feeling of reading something you've been looking forward to, and it's not a book for review.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending an author event at Vero Beach Book Center.  While this Indie is over an hour south of my house it has become my go to place for book events and books.  I love the staff most especially Cynthia who manages publicity and events for the store.  I enjoy that she and I discuss books and upcoming events and tell each other books to read!  It's a big book store! An entire second level is dedicated to children's books, toys, games, etc.  If you are ever in the area or headed south on I-95 it's worth a detour to visit Vero Beach Book Center.  Oh I met Jane Green yesterday!  The store had special permission to sell her new book, which publishes Tuesday 3/25, Tempting Fate.  I am looking forward to reading it and sharing some of the talk she shared in an upcoming post.

Nick is on Spring Break this week, his plans include beach, working out, hanging with friends and sleeping, sounds about right for a 16 year old yes?

I need help for my sister.  She and her husband are retiring and have sold their house and plan to full time motor home for the next few years.  They have a motor home that is very plush, worth more than my house I believe so the are not roughing it...ha ha!  My sister Ouida and brother in law Tom want to write a blog about their travels, experiences etc.  The theme being about seeing the USA etc.  She needs a blog name.  Can you help?  I'm going to put this out on facebook and twitter too.  Use your creative imaginations and send me some info.  Thanks.

Hope you have a wonderful week!!

  1. We don't seem to have very many author events in Orlando, or maybe I'm not just aware of them. All we have are B&N, so. We had a good Sunday too. Church, long walk, some Walking Dead, the Bay Hill tournament. I don't have any brilliant ideas for your sister, but I'd Google "rambling" and "USA". But if I get an inspiration, I'll let you know!

  2. Jane Green is coming here next month and I'm really looking forward to it.

As you can tell from my blog name, I'm not very creative.
