Almost Wordless Wednesday

Before the US Shuttle program was recently shut down, this was the view I had on most Launch Days

It is such a sad time in my small town.  This launch was from early 2010.
Now we rely on the Russians to assist the International Space Station.

7 notes from my friends:

I'm grieving as well. A shuttle launch has been THE event here in Florida since we moved down in 1991. Who knows? New administration, it may come back.

I remember seeing much the same thing from my front porch, and am sad that I will never see it again. It's too bad.

I understand the mourning.

Beautiful sight.

My husband is sad he missed the chance to see a shuttle launch. Just think, you witnessed history.

It would have been so cool to see any part of a launch. Lucky you.

It is an end of an era. It makes me wonder what they will do next ... or if it is really over for good.
